As part of their playwriting competition, "Joining Sword and Pen," playwrights use a painting as the inspiration for a new work. I created this photocomposite of the painting "Duelo de Mujeres" by Jusepe Ribera. This campaign included posters, postcards, large format advertising, and various web banners.

Babes with Blades is a non-profit theatre company dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in stage combat. After attending a reading, I worked with the company to develop a campaign that draws from both 1970s grindhouse films and the ideas of death and decay.

For PREMATURE INFATUATION, a two-person relationship piece, I developed a print campaign focusing abstractly on the tension in the relationship. By cropping and supersaturating detail photos of the actors, I helped to visualize the complexity that exists just below the surface of their relationship.

Working on THRILL ME, a musical based on a true crime, I chose to contrast the actual newpaper accounts of the murders with the fictionalized retelling of the story. I then gave some age to the paper to fit the concept of the show.

I developed this photocomposite for LYSISTRATA, a retelling of the classic Greek comedy in which women gear up to stop their husbands from warring. In this production, the war was modernized, instead pitting Republicans and Democrats. Using designs inspired from campaign yard signs, I created this modern metaphor of what it means to "ready oneself for battle."

For this play competition, writers were asked to use a specific painting as an image in their commissioned works. Creating a composite between the marketing photos and the original painting was a unique challenge, and created a unique piece of design that instantly captured the concept of the project.

In this minimalist advertisemet for CLOSER, I used white space to help convey both the voyeuristic mood of the play as well as the broader theme of hiding an affair.

In this season mailer, I chose to use a non-standard layout that would allow subscribers to immediately have a reminder calendar for the dates of performances. Crossing the natural folds with images and titales allowed for a more organic look without disrupting the legibility.

This personal work came after my time working with members from the Florida Department of Tourism on ideas for a post-hurricane campaign. In this personal piece, I wanted to keep true to the familiar colors and textures of Florida landscapes, but play with the irony of Florida's "alternate vacation spots."

Concept and design for an original sketch comedy. Given the absurdity of the group's name (and the title of their previous show, "Don't Put Babies in Tupperware"), I chose to focus on the disconnect and create this ironic take on the traditional. Using clean lines and keeping the print off-center creates a tension that highlights the disconnect even further.
